DALE EDGLEY

Dale has an accounting background, originally working in Sydney for major accounting firms.

In 1969, with the discovery of oil & gas in Bass Strait she moved to Gippsland where her four children & community services occupied her next sixteen years.

During this time, Dale developed an interest in computers and her return to commercial life was prompted by a Solicitor friend who commissioned her to write a program which allowed the automatic insertion of formatted text into documentation.

In 1986 Dale joined Maffra Computer Services (MCS) as a technical writer and office manager. MCS was owned by Andrew Edgley and a Gippsland veterinarian - the company provided Veterinary Management software to more than 120 practices throughout mainland Australia and New Zealand.

In 1988, Dale became involved in documenting the development of the Medipath Pathology Management system and producing user and technical manuals for the system and when in 1990 the company moved to Melbourne as MediSoft International, she continued to provide manuals as new products were introduced.

In March 2000, when LRS was formed, Dale became both an owner and Director when, as well as continuing to produce training and technical documentation, she took on the role of managing the financial and administrative services of the company.
