AllTalk Testimonials

The following are some of the testimonials received from current AllTalk Clients.

Adam Sandri,
Symbion Health (Dorevitch), I.T. Department

"EQuery / AllTalk is a product which, over the years, has fulfilled confidence (in security as well as reliability), in practitioners since it was first implemented within Gippsland Pathology in 1999.

I believe the advantage AllTalk has over other products in the market is the continual development of new features while still remaining a relatively simple product. By keeping the product simple, this improves compatibility, ease of installation and support, yet somehow AllTalk does everything we need it to do and more.

Recent additions, such as the AVP plug-in, certainly appear more advanced than competitive products and when inquiring about a specific solution, LRS will often reply with "Yes, AllTalk's been able to do that for years … !"

LRS are quick to respond to any change requests and have always been available for additional support, no matter what the time or day."

.. Regards, Adam Sandri

Brett Forge, F.R.A.C.P.
Consultant Physician, Cardiologist, West Gippsland Hospital

"In reply to your request for feedback on your software products, I would offer the following.

We have used EQuery for over a year for downloading pathology and AllTalk for sending out Stress Test reports and Holter reports and, more recently, correspondence to referring GPS. The software works flawlessly and we can only praise your work. Your assistance in helping us to set up the system was timely and very smooth, especially so since we have a hybrid Macintosh / Windows environment. We would not be interested in using any other product and hope your software becomes more prevalent throughout Australia to enhance our communications.

The cost savings to our business in terms of efficiency, staff time and rapidity of getting results to and from referring Doctors has been immense and will continue to accumulate. We had to pay a trifling sum for the service and would have paid ten times the amount and still be well ahead.

I have recommended AllTalk to all other users who are interested in joining the electronic secure communications world."

Best of luck, Brett Forge (bforge@absoluterisk.com)

Dr Bill Maskill
Laboratory Manager
Victorian Infectious Diseases Reference Laboratory (VIDRL)

"VIDRL has been using AllTalk in it's present form and in the earlier incarnation of Equery since 1999. It has proved beyond doubt to be an extremely secure and robust message service that is incredibly easy to install and best of all has shown to be most forgiving when hardware fails and the software needs to be moved to another machine.

This last point is most critical in the area of pathology results where client clinics schedule patient visits based on the expected availability of laboratory results.

The support provided by LRS has been first rate for this product and the most pleasing aspect of the software is that due to its very high "user friendly" interface, any maintenance matters can be managed by local support staff or by a phone call to LRS.

Another critical feature is that the software is very cost effective when considering all operational and associated on-costs.

During the 7 years during which we have used the product we have not lost a single electronic report.

We could not more strongly endorse this software as an example of a product that has all the features of "best practice" certification."

Subject: Experience with EQuery / AllTalk

"As one of the longest time and largest users of EQuery / AllTalk, I would like to offer my thoughts on the product.

Pathcare was originally drawn to EQuery for the delivery of Electronic Pathology results for the following reasons -

  • Simplicity of installation, both Client and Server.
  • In house delivery of the service.
  • Low maintenance requirements, both Client and Server.
  • Encryption paradigm.
  • Availability of local support.
  • Traceability of results from creation to delivery.
  • Total cost of ownership.

When Pathcare became a part of St John of God Pathology, management was originally sceptical about the product. After experiencing the numerous advantages of the product over their existing delivery service, they have adopted AllTalk as their provider.

Since adopting AllTalk, I have been impressed with its reliability, support and its continuing development."

Nigel Kelly
I.T. Co-Ordinator, Laboratory Services
Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne
(Providing Services to The Royal Women's Hospital & The Royal Children's Hospital)

"Equery (which is now AllTAlk) has been used by The Royal Children's Hospital Laboratory Services to deliver electronic pathology results to medical practitioners using computer practice management software for four years.

We have found the system easy to install, configurable to our requirements and easy to use & maintain. It links easily with our laboratory information system, Medipath (also supplied by LRS) and enables pathology reports to be seamlessly sent to a variety of computer practice management systems. Most important, it is reliable.

LRS also manages for us the installation of the client software at the doctor practice end and this is generally so simple that it is done via the telephone and a download from their Web site. LRS also manages any support issues that our doctor clients might have. The issues are generally to do with issues at the practice end where inadvertent changes have been made to the practice's ISP or system configuration rather than any failure of the AllTalk software.

LRS has been the provider of our laboratory information system since 1995, initially providing the system to the Royal Women's Hospital and then the combined service of the Women's & Children's Health and now to the Royal Children's Hospital (which still provides laboratory services to the Royal Women's Hospital). During this time we have found LRS both professional and responsive to our needs and we have an excellent business relationship with them. Our system is continually being improved and enhanced and LRS are always positive to new requests for change & enhancements.

LRS is also very good when things occasionally fail and critical support is required urgently. Their response times are always outstanding is these situations.

Santina Ampt
Phillip Island Echocardiography

"Being new to me, I was quite impressed at how easy and efficient this system was to implement and use.

The system was tailor made for my echocardiography service to Phillip Island which resulted in the reports being made almost immediately to the referring medical practitioners, giving me the edge over the competition as well as providing an excellent all round service.

It is a far more superior system than any other echocardiograph database in that it allows easy and ready access to all patient results, including the echocardiogram results, in one press of the button.

The cost of this system was quite reasonable by comparison to say, "Cardiobase" which is plagued with many user problems including that it is relatively inflexible once set and the service very fair to poor to say the least.

I was given a thorough in-service over the phone and what few issues I had were readily fixed with a phone call. Glen has been so flexible that some of these calls were made after hours and were resolved in no time, which is a relief as the quick turn around with reports is paramount for any reputable service. Glen helped me achieve this.

I cannot recommend this service and product strongly enough and certainly it should certainly be regarded as a benchmark for all other systems.

Christopher Newell
SydPath (St Vincents Hospital, Sydney)

"SydPath has been looking for a robust, secure result transfer system that has the reporting capabilities to ensure our service is prompt and any problems can be detected. AllTalk was referred to us by another Pathology and we were supplied with a demonstration program from Last Resort Support.

Although SydPath hasn't gone live with the product (yet), the installation and support by Last Resort Support was first-rate. No waiting, no machines, within minutes I was talking to a technician who could answer my questions with certainty.

Within the hour our AllTalk test Server was operational, within two hours reporting functionality had been added. Much quicker install times would be possible, but this was with a lot "looking around". In short, the installation and support for this product has been, to date, first-rate."

Jeff Searl
General Manager - Pathology
St Vincent's Health, Melbourne

"St Vincent's Pathology trades within Victoria as a private pathology facility offering services to public and private hospitals, and private doctors within the Melbourne metropolitan region. In the year 2000 the facility provided a result download service to 8 doctors, today the facility has links to over 2000 doctors in Victoria.

The facility purchased the Equery product and found the product very cost effective, simple to install and required little if any technical support. The major advantage to us was no 'click count' charge, this meant as our user base grew the costs for downloading were capped.

The system runs on a personal computer platform and can download in PIT or HL7 allowing us to interface nearly all products in use in doctors rooms, including PC and MAC platforms.

The facility has upgraded the Equery software to Alltalk to allow us to make use of communications between St Vincent's Pathology clients and more advanced encryption solutions.

The Equery solution has been very successful at St Vincent's pathology and has allowed us to communicate with large numbers of doctors in real time using industry standard protocols with a capped cost structure."

Dr Michael Christie
West Brunswick Clinic

Our clinic has been using LRS software for two years.

The first piece of software we used from LRS was the EQuery download client. It was a very neat download client which we used to receive results from St Vincent's Pathology. It was very easy to install, worked flawlessly, required no other intervention on my behalf other than the original setup.

Their software has been upgraded and is now called AllTalk. again for downloads it works flawlessly.

A colleague alerted me to the possibility of using AllTalk to send messages to other Healthcare Providers. This is quite exciting for me, as we as a Clinic wish to send and receive letters from hospitals and specialists electronically.

I have already sent and received messages to a local specialist. The referral letter I sent was electronically signed by my HESA PKI key. I am encouraging local specialists to send me letters by this means. It potentially could save a lot of time spent by our reception staff in scanning documents into our Electronic Health Record.

There are some fine details to be sorted out sending along letter via AllTalk using my software "Best Practice", but the backup of Glen at AllTalk is fantastic so I am sure this will be fixed soon.

I am happy to recommend this software - I wish more people used it!
