VIRCO

Medipath/LRS interfaces with products such as VircoNET™ which is a specially designed program for the fast and convenient exchange of genotypes and virco®TYPE HIV-1 reports between the genotyping lab and Virco. It provides an accurate prediction of phenotypic susceptibility from any qualified genotype sequence and eliminates the need to ship samples to Virco's labs for conventional phenotype testing.

Virco was established in 1995 by a small, experienced group of scientists and clinicians passionate about and committed to making a difference for patients living with HIV. The primary focus was to discover and develop innovative ways to bring practical and reliable resistance testing tools to doctors, to help them make better informed treatment decisions and to enhance patient care.

LRS has now developed a special Web Services interface which allows a fully translated Virco report to be automatically posted into the MediPATH result database.
