P2P PATIENT TRANSPORT
MANAGEMENT

 

The software system Point2Point Patient Transport System (P2P-PTS) is designed to monitor, dispatch and manage patient delivery service.

It provides data for other corporate systems, i.e. accounts payable,
invoicing etc.
The system will:

  • accept bookings
  • schedule the job to a suitable fleet unit
  • communicate job details to fleet units (subject to vehicles fitted with suitable equipment)
  • accept responses from fleet units
  • create invoice details for billing; and
  • create payroll details for download.


P2P-PTS will accept roster details from external systems.

Crew, Vehicle and equipment tables are used to maintain a fleet-unit availability roster.

The roster system controls the Booking register view.

Business rules operate between Booking, the roster and the Booking register. Rules include reference to patient condition, crew status, vehicle type and equipment.

As each job moves through the cycle, from booking to completion automatic business rules operate to trigger actions within P2P-PTS.

Messages are sent to fleet units when the job is "despatched" using the selected communication medium (PMR, GPRS, etc.). Fleet-unit responses update job status up to and including job completion.

The system prepares data for INVOICING and passes the data to an external debtor's management system.

The system prepares payroll data and passes these data to an external payroll management system.

Reports can be prepared from the SQL compliant data base set.
