G-Edit was designed specifically for use with text based results such as Radiology reports. GEdit provides the functionality of Windows style Word Processing.

• GEdit is automatically called whenever a MediRAD Procedure Code requires extended word processing for its data

• GEdit will run on any PC

• GEdit has most of the word processing features which MicroSoft Word provides

• The text data from a GEdit session is written into the MediRAD reportlayout. The "Word" document is also saved in the MediRAD database.

• All documents are backed up with the routine MediRAD backup process.

• The GEdit documents are printed by a Windows' utility which MediRAD automatically calls whenever required

• Graphic Images such as ultrasounds, MRI or any digital images are handled automatically

• When a GEdit flagged procedure is selected in any MediRAD data entry program, the GEdit process is automatically called
  
  
• Previously saved GEdit result pages are displayed in GEdit mode but when scrolling through a patient's history, the result is displayed in the normal character based screen
