Data can be extracted from the MediPATH, MediRAd and MediBILL systems for the purpose of making it available for Management and Clinical analysis.

Data is extracted, manipulated and imported into a Microsoft SQL Server database. Once imported, the data can be analysed using standard SQL (Structured Query Language) statements or by any application that accesses data via the Microsoft Data Access (previously named ODBC) technologies. These application and methods include:

· PivotTable Data Analysis (Microsoft Excel and Access)
· PivotTable Graph Analysis (Microsoft Excel and Access)
· Raw Data via External Data Queries (Microsoft Excel)
· Pass-through Queries (Microsoft Access)
· SQL Query Analyser

Since the data extracted includes both billing and result data, it is suitable for both Management and Clinical type analysis. Examples of different type of analysis include:

· Requests by Collection Centre or source
· Laboratory/Site Request Analysis
· Test Analysis by Laboratory
· Statistical Analysis of Results by Test
